SCCA had an auto-x solo event today on UF campus, the place I first raced at about 4 months ago and took 1st in the novice class. Of course, they bumped me out of that class in the next auto-x race about a month ago. Took 3rd place there on a 2mi track against 23 other drivers, beating several high HP cars, including 3 TT Slupras. Today was great, bumped the camber back to -1.4 deg from 0deg to correct the understeer I was having yesterday during pre-race dial-ins. (BTW, 0deg camber saves tirez for normal driving). I was running in ESP class against a supra and a new trans-am. First lap was an "off-course" cuz I got a little happy around one of the turns (excessive drifting) and missed the first slalom cone in that section. I ran an 63.4s lap. Second run I took my GFs GF - pulled an 62.x, third run I screwed up and didn't go through the right set of cones on a round-about, but I pulled an 61.5. Fourth run went well, clean run and I pulled a 58.51s lap. Trophies were awarded - and my name was called for the only trophy awarded in the class. Ahhh yeah baby. Another kill. AT this point I have taken a trophy for first place in two of the three auto-x I have run, one third in the other one and two 1st place trophies for the shows I have put my car into. :) Awesome cars.
